The Diversions were formed in 2008 when songwriter Geoff Fulton started rehearsing with bassist Lou Taylor.
Geoff had recorded several albums under his own name and played some of his songs with various other groups but wanted a band to showcase his compostions.
Various guitarists and drummers came and went until a stable line up of John Souter on drums and Andy Kearse on guitar started gigging in 2009. The band played around Wiltshire and Bristol and started to build a dedicated following, recording a single, 'Hollywood', which sold strongly at gigs and on line.
Local radio DJ's and promoters supported the band but John and Andy left in early 2010 and the band focused on writng and rehearsing new material.
